Sustainable Agriculture Internship

Gain experience and learn useful skills on an organic farm and local sustainability center. Interns will work 40 hours per week. 25 hours will be trade hours for housing, 15 hours will be paid at $10 per hour or $150 per week.

All work will pertain to Common Ground and its’ mission: providing local food, strengthening community and sustainable programs. Preference given to applicants with experience in: Organic Farming, Food Prep and Digital Media.

Volunteer and paid hours will include such duties as garden work, including: vegetable growing and care, beautification projects, chicken care, harvest and farmers market. Also to include but not limited to: kitchen work at the onsite restaurant, general maintenance and upkeep of facilities and related projects.

Interns to be provided with housing including kitchen, bathroom/shower and laundry facilities.

A minimum 6-month stay required, with a 2-week trial period. During that time either party may terminate the agreement.
